While therapy may be for everyone, not every therapist is for everyone. I am a Registered Social Worker with authorization to perform restricted psychosocial interventions.

I have experience working with all ages, notably teenagers, with a special interest in supporting anxiety (general, social, panic, separation, phobias, and perfectionism), depression, eating disorders, body dysmorphia, complex family dynamics, life transitions (career change, relationship status, parental separation, etc.), grief and loss, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, general wellbeing, couples, and families.

I fully believe in everything being figurable, and if not figurable, referable. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotions Focused Therapy (EFT), Affirmation Therapy, Family Systems Therapy (FST), and therapeutic play as main modalities, and I’m informed in attachment theory, positive psychology, and compassion-focused approaches. I work in a trauma informed manner, I’m an LGBTQ2S+ ally, and I work in a culturally sensitive manner.

With over 20 years of experience in the counseling field, I provide compassionate support to youth over the age of 12 as well as adults. I am effective at crisis intervention for individuals navigating acute challenges with a strong knowledge base on appropriate community referrals. My approach is systems-focused and strengths-based, drawing from Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Polyvagal Theory. I collaborate with clients to develop individualized treatment plans, while also offering supportive therapy for those who prefer a less structured approach. Outside of my professional work, I enjoy life in a busy blended family with my five children, staying active through volleyball and golf, and spending time helping on our small farm.

CANCELLATION POLICY

We ask that you give us 24-hours of notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Failure to provide us with 24-hours of notice will result in a fee of 50% of the cost of the treatment that was booked (applies to aesthetics and massage clients). For clients receiving medical services (i.e., physiotherapy, mental health, NP services), you’ll be charged a flat fee of $50 for cancellations without notice. The fee will be automatically charged to the card on file.
